Billing Coordinator

A leading international legal consultancy firm is seeking an experienced billing coordinator, or someone who wants to step up into this position. This firm provides an exceptional opportunity to utilise pre-existing skills and to grow your career within a well-established organisation.

You will be working alongside a highly qualified and knowledgeable team within the finance department to manage the working capital of the firm, as well as ensure that all revenue is accounted for in an efficient manner. The nature of this firm is one that requires an ability to work quickly and provide a very high quality of service. The role has a strong Billing element and so experience within this area is very desirable.

The successful billing coordinator will have several important responsibilities, including:

  • Accurately maintain the Purchase Ledger for the firm, and ensure all expenses and disbursements are swiftly and correctly updated.
  • Assisting with the sending of bills, and the collection and chasing of bill-related receipts - including ensuring that a bill does not become overdue wherever possible.
  • Maintain filing systems accurately and ensure they are up to date.

Essential experience and skills required by the billing coordinator include:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience working within a legal, finance, or similar professional services firm as a Credit Controller, or in a similar financial position.
  • Consistently high attention to detail, disciplined time management, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • High competency in Microsoft Office products (in particular Excel), as well as typical accounting software
